ROBERT J. DESMAN

     Bob Desman has worked for almost 20 years in business brokerage with sellers and buyers of businesses in the Greater Pittsburgh and Tri-State Area. Prior to forming Desman Capital Group, Bob was a partner with Rosewood Capital Partners for many years, exclusively handling business brokerage.

     Over the years Bob has developed an extensive network of business contacts (buyers and sellers), brokerage, financial, legal and other professionals who may be called upon by the Desman Capital Group in any given transaction.

     Bob is the principal owner of the Desman Capital Group, which specializes in business brokerage. He is a highly qualified professional intermediary who fully understands the importance of confidentiality in the marketing and sale of a business. Before his business brokerage experience, Bob was Senior Corporate Counsel for Allegheny Ludlum and later, Allegheny International for over 10 years in Pittsburgh, where he handled millions of dollars worth of business ownership transfers.

     Bob began his working career as a development chemist for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after receiving his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Indiana University, which he attended on a Big Ten football scholarship. He then earned a Masters of Business Administration degree with an emphasis on finance and marketing from Xavier University, and earned his J.D. (law) degree from the University of Detroit.

     He practiced business law with a Detroit law firm, then moved to an advisory and legal capacity with Youngstown Sheet & Tube Company as its Corporate Counsel. With Allegheny his Senior Corporate Counsel responsibilities included consumer, industrial and metal products, high technology, manufacturing, financial and banking arrangements, and commercial real estate.

     In addition to his extensive business sales and acquisitions experience, Bob is a licensed Pennsylvania Real Estate Broker. He is the owner of the affiliated Robert J. Desman Real Estate which sells industrial, commercial and warehouse real estate, in connection with business sales the Desman Capital Group handles for its clients.

     Long time residents of the area, Bob and his wife have two grown children, one in business in Pittsburgh, and one in banking in New York.

     Bob is a member of the Pennsylvania Business Brokers Association, the National, Pennsylvania and Greater Pittsburgh Board of Realtor Associations, the Association for Corporate Growth and the Allegheny County Bar Association.
