Buyer Acquisition Criteria

Numerous qualified individual, corporate,  private equity and investor backed buyers are looking to purchase manufacturing, distribution and service businesses in the Greater Pittsburgh and Tri-State Area.  What follows are a few Search Criteria from some of these buyers; however, there are prospective buyers for almost any business with annual sales  over $1 million.

  • A private equity group is searching for businesses with annual revenues over $3 million:  whose owners are looking to exit, business units that no longer fit the parent company’s strategic direction, or certain turnaround companies.
     
  • An individual who recently sold an established automotive parts distribution business is seeking a non-automotive related distribution or service business in the South Hills of Pittsburgh.
     
  • An investor backed group is seeking industrial services or manufacturing companies with $5 million to $10 million in sales and with the potential for growth and are profitable.
     
  • A private investor group seeks to acquire distribution, service or manufacturing companies with annual sales between $5 million to $25 million.  Preferences for fabricated metal products, rubber or plastic products, industrial products, value added distributors or niche business services.
